Who We Are

Our Mission

WeFoster LA strives to nurture and support foster children and families in Los Angeles County through providing essential comfort items, hosting baby showers for foster parents, and community connections. We aim to empower foster youth, provide stability for teen foster mothers, and strengthen the support network for foster families while raising awareness about the foster care system.

Joining this FostAdopt mom group reminded me how important it is to have support from others who truly understand this journey. Adoptive motherhood can feel isolating at times, especially when most people don’t know what it’s really like. This group has given me a safe space to feel seen, heard, and supported, and it’s been so helpful to have an outside source of encouragement beyond my immediate family. I’m incredibly thankful for this community.

WeFoster LA is largely run by a collaborative effort of churches across the city. We provide everything your congregation needs to meet the practical needs of resource parents in your city. If you are part of a church that would like to learn more about serving as a We Foster LA outpost please email info@wefoster.la. We are specifically interested in collaborating with churches in the Antelope Valley and South Los Angeles.
